Billing & Insurance

When GYN PATH receives complete and current insurance information from your healthcare provider, and your plan is one we are able to bill, we will submit the claim to the insurance carrier. Sometimes, however, GYN PATH does not receive current insurance information from the referring provider at the time a specimen is sent to our laboratory. If insurance information is missing, incomplete, or outdated, a patient statement may be generated before insurance can be billed.

If you receive a bill and believe insurance should have been billed, please contact our billing team as soon as possible. If we receive accurate insurance information within the applicable filing deadline, we can review your account and submit the claim with the updated information.

The list below includes many of the insurance plans and payers GYN PATH commonly works with. This list is provided as a general reference, but coverage and patient responsibility can vary based on your insurance plan, the services ordered by your provider, and your individual benefits.

Even when insurance is filed and processed, your insurance plan may determine that you are responsible for a deductible, copay, coinsurance, non-covered service, or remaining balance.

If you are unable to pay your balance in full, please contact our billing team. We understand that medical bills can be unexpected, and we will work with you to review available payment options, including payment arrangements when appropriate.
